synopsis

The young and successful promotional film writer Matt Sullivan and his girlfriend, Dawn Banks, spend a weekend in the Blackwoods, where she intends to introduce Matt to her parents at their home. Before they all meet Matt and Dawn decide to spend the night in a motel.

After some hot love-making Matt is woken up by strange noises. Matt looks around but there is no trace of Dawn. Matt realises that there must be intruders who are after his blood. He manages to get away from his followers. He contacts and informs the motel's receptionist and the police but noone would believe him. Therefore he starts to look for Dawn all by himself and also to figure out what is happening to him.

While searching for Dawn in the dark Blackwoods he approaches the house of Dawn's family. To his major surprise Dawn is there with a group of men - obviously her father and her brothers. Matt is shocked when he recognises the man, one of Dawn's brothers, who kept looking for him at the motel and who wanted to kill him. He wants to make a move and escape as he more and more feels he's really in danger. But Dawn's brothers hear and find him and make sure he cannot flee. Dawn is for some reason and suddenly a totally different person and full of hate and anger. Her family interrogate Matt and accuse him of having murdered the family's youngest daughter. They say he killed Dawn's sister four years ago in a car accident. Dawn and her family therefore sentence Matt to death. They give him a short lead over Dawn's brothers and let him run into the forest. Soon later the hunt after Matt begins.

Will Matt manage to shake off his persecutors and defeat them? At the same time Matt's best friend tries to find out where he is and the sheriff has also started to look for Matt. Step by step the mysterious secret around Matt Sullivan starts clearing up…

BLACKWOODS - this is a movie the viewers will appreciate for 90 minutes and which will grab them more and more. It ends with an incredible twist and a raging showdown!
